Embryogenesis
Embryogenesis a multicellular organism, such as a plant or animal, forms from an egg cell following the combination of parental gametes and develops into an independent living entity.
The embryo develops by the cellular division of a single cell. In animals, embryogenesis defines the transformation of an egg into an embryo. The first stages of embryonic development are called morula (8-16 cells), blastula, gastrula and neurula. In humans, the term foetus is used after the third month.
